The clinic is staffed by Brown faculty, who mentor residents and oversee the care provided through the clinic. A resident will typically have his or her “personal clinic” once a month. The patients assigned to a particular resident follow up with the same resident throughout the course of their treatment. It’s a phenomenal learning experience as the resident is empowered and responsible for the care provided to their patients – be it operative or non-operative in nature.

The clinic also provides a safe and well-supervised setting to refine procedural skills such as injections, aspirations, reductions, casting and splinting.
Dedicated casting room, procedure room, and fluoroscopy room are available in clinic. Cast techs are also available to help with cast changes and re-application.
Operative cases booked through the clinic are performed with attending surgeons. These cases provide an excellent opportunity to improve understanding of operative indications as well as improve operative skills.
