As you browse this site, you will quickly become aware that we offer a tremendous educational experience. As one of the top NIH/VA funded orthopaedic departments in the country, we pride ourselves on our research, our world-class faculty, hospitals, and on the educational opportunities we provide for our students and residents alike.

Our educational sites are all in the Providence area. They span the breadth of orthopedic care including a Level One Trauma Center, a children’s hospital, a VA, an efficient community hospital for elective orthopedic surgery, and a private practice ambulatory surgical center. Our residents are extremely well prepared to take on any type of career after graduation.  Over half of our residency alumni obtain academic positions after completing fellowship training.
