The Brown Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program provides funds and time off from clinical duties for all the residents to attend the following courses.

- American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) Annual Conference

- Miller Review Course for board preparation

- Full funding and time off provided to attend academic conferences for residents to present original research
