Caroll Silver International Traveling Fellowship
Each year, two residents or trauma fellows can travel abroad, usually to a developing nation to provide orthopaedic care to the local population. The concept of the Silver Fellowship is to have the resident or fellow exchange their expertise with the physicians in the host country.
This fellowship is available to residents for a one-month period during the PGY-5 Elective Block.
The Silver Fellowship has funded trips to the following countries:
- Malawi
- Nepal
- Ghana
- China
- Bhutan
- Haiti
- Columbia
- Nicaragua
- Guatemala
- Honduras
- Spain
