Awarded by the graduating chief residents annually to a faculty member that has demonstrated excellence in teaching and mentorship through their residency years. Despite the faculty having received national-level recognition on multiple fronts, this is often viewed by the faculty as the most meaningful award of their careers. 

Also awarded by the graduating chief residents annually but to a graduating fellow of the same year in recognition of their teaching of the residency during their fellowship year.  This award highlights the importance the department's fellows have in the education of residents as they function as junior attendings in each division with full operating privileges.
