The Brown Orthopedic Spine lab is a leading center for spine-related research located in Providence, Rhode Island. Our mission is to enhance clinical care of patients with spinal pathologies by improving our understanding of the biomechanics of the spine and of the clinical and radiographical outcomes following spine surgery.
Our lab studies a broad range of spinal conditions, from single-level interbody fusions to complex multi-level deformity corrections. Over the course of the years, we have developed comprehensive single-center and multi-center databases that have enabled us to retrospectively identify trends, risk factors, and outcomes of various surgical procedures across diverse patient populations. This has allowed us to be at the forefront of the field on topics related to preoperative planning, spinal alignment, and postoperative surgical complications.
In the end, we hope to leverage our groundbreaking research to drive innovations in spinal treatment. By translating our findings into real-world clinical solutions, we are dedicated to optimizing surgical techniques and improving long-term outcomes for patients with spinal disorders.
