Why did you choose Brown? I loved my rotation here. There was such a sense of camaraderie among the residents, attendings, nurses, and staff members. Also, the breadth/depth experience was by far the widest due to significant consult volume and various practice settings the residents worked (RIH, the Miriam, the VA, and Kettle Point).
What do you like about Providence/Rhode Island? It is a practical city to live in. There are excellent options for food, day trips, and activities. Coming from Philadelphia, I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to get around the city and access all that Providence has to offer.
What are your goals for the future? I am looking forward to becoming a competent, safe surgeon. Because of my interest in teaching and research, I would love to spend at least part of my career in academia. Ultimately, I aim to help as many people as I can by appropriately managing orthopaedic medical problems.
