Why did you choose Brown? Brown is an exceptional program which is well-grounded in all aspects of orthopedic training. There is a collegial atmosphere between the residents and faculty with an emphasis on training and mentorship. There are also numerous research opportunities available with internationally recognized faculty. 

What do you like about Providence/Rhode Island? Living in Rhode Island provides the best of both worlds. You can enjoy calm, picturesque ocean scenery while being in close proximity to Boston and New York. For a small city, Providence has a vibrant and multicultural food scene and all the amenities you would want from a city - nothing is too far away! As a Brit, the fish and chips isn't too bad either...

What are your goals for the future: To be a skillful orthopedic surgeon providing high-quality care for patients, engaged in research, and teaching medical students and residents. Balanced with a family life too.
