Why did you choose Brown? Brown has it all. The program offers both excellent academic and clinical opportunities. Rhode Island Hospital is a high-volume, high-acuity trauma center where Brown residents build the foundation of their knowledge. At the same time, we are able to rotate in every conceivable subspecialty without going more than 10 minutes from home. We also have excellent departmental support for our research.
What do you like about Providence/Rhode Island? Providence is an historically beautiful waterfront city. It also has all the best parts of a big city (parks, restaurants, museums, theatre, etc) without the traffic and exorbitant real estate prices. Providence is also a great place to raise our two little girls, with several schools and roughly half dozen playgrounds within walking distance from our house.
What are your goals for the future? Provide excellent evidence-based orthopedic care
