Why did you choose Brown? I chose Brown because of the mentorship residents receive from attendings as well as the culture amongst residents. During my rotation as a fourth year medical student, I was impressed by the tight knit team and camaraderie that the department displayed, and could see myself becoming a part of this community.
What do you like about Providence/Rhode Island? There are always new restaurants to try and activities to experience in and around the city. The proximity to a newly opened Costco is an amazing plus, and my older sister is also in Providence, so family and support is a short drive away.
What are your goals for the future? I hope to become a surgeon who can advocate for his patients as well as an educator who can support and inspire the next generation of medicine. Although I don't know where my career may take me, my dream is to stay in the Northeast close to family and friends.
