Why Did You Choose Brown: Becoming the first physician in my family was only possible due to the unconditional support of my mentors and colleagues in my journey to residency. Finding this same support was important when choosing where to do my training and it was so evident not only among the residents at Brown, but also from the faculty and program leadership. Combined with the unrivaled operative experience and research opportunities, there was no better place to continue my journey into orthopaedics.
What Do You Like About Providence/Rhode Island: Coming from Chicago, I didn't think I would ever find a city that would rival the food scene but I was so wrong. There are so many great restaurants influenced by a multitude of cultures and all within a 10-15 minute drive. Paired with the many beaches, breweries, and hike trails in the area you can never get bored.
What Are Your Goals For The Future: I aspire to be a skillful and compassionate acacemic surgeon, where I can continue advancing the field of medicine while mentoring aspring surgeons. Through these initiatives I will continue advocating for the medically undeserved in and outside of the operating room. In the near future, adding a second dog to my family.
