Alanna Balboni, MD
Biography
Dr. Alanna B. Balboni is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. She attended medical school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. She completed her residency at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Virginia. Following residency, Dr. Balboni was stationed at Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Naples, Italy as a general orthopedic surgeon focusing primarily on sports medicine, with some foot and ankle, and hand.
After her two-year tour, she was assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command New England in Newport, Rhode Island, for an additional two-year tour. In August 2022 Dr. Balboni started her Adult Reconstruction Fellowship with Brown University. She is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and the Society of Military Orthopedic Surgeons.
