Dr. Edward Akelman, chair of Orthopaedics at Brown, was selected to receive the 2025 Milton W. Hamolsky, MD Outstanding Physician of the Year Award. The award recognizes physicians for exceptional contributions to patient care and leadership, and is awarded by Rhode Island Hospital and Brown University Health.
Congratulations to Dr. Akelman for receiving this well-deserved award. The award will be presented virtually in January at the Medical Staff Association Annual Meeting, and in-person in the fall of 2026.
