The Department of Orthopaedics hosted the 31st Annual Caroll M. Silver, MD Lectureship on October 21–22, 2025. This year’s Visiting Guest Professor was Dr. Annunziato “Ned” Amendola, the Virginia Flowers Baker Distinguished Professor and Director of the Division of Sports Medicine at Duke University.

Members of the Silver family joined department faculty, fellows, and residents for the Silver Dinner on Tuesday evening, where Dr. Jonathan Liu (PGY5) shared highlights from his recent medical mission trip to Honduras. On Wednesday morning, Dr. Amendola delivered his lecture, “The Art of Knee Surgery.”
